  • SCOPE OF SERVICES

Throughout all phases of a project, from first concepts via Basic Design, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design & Engineering right up to construction, commissioning and operation, we provide multiple services. Our comprehensive capabilities enable us to provide both Greenfield and Brownfield engineering services for onshore and offshore projects.

  • Consultancy

Our broad expertise enables us to provide overall consultancy services to our Clients. This applies to all phases of a project and includes general consultation, but also advice on specific issues. Furthermore, we
act as the Owner’s Engineer in order to represent the interests and intentions of the Client. This includes the supervision, review and approval of third parties services and supplies. The provision of Authority Engineering services perfects the overall consultancy.

  • Basic Design & FEED

We provide Basic Design and Front End Engineering Designs (FEED) for onshore & offshore developments. Basic Design and FEED typically include design premises, design philosophies, process flow diagrams, process descriptions, material balances, equipment lists, general designs and layouts, general specifications, main equipment data sheets specification of Long Lead Items, preliminary cost estimates, HAZOP/HAZID studies and risk analyses. The FEED may serve as the scope of work for EPC contracts.

  • Detailed Design & Engineering

The Detailed Design & Engineering is the consequential and logical continuation of the previous Basic Engineering and FEED phases. Its purpose is to detail the design and engineering to a level, which allows for procurement, fabrication, installation, construction, commissioning and operation of the plant or the facility.

  • Project Management & Construction Management

Good project management is crucial for in-time and in-budget delivery of the plant or the facility. We offer construction management and supervision as part of our overall project management. Management and supervisory services range from initial preconstruction planning to construction and installation, to plant commissioning, start-up assistance and the early operational phase accompanied by contract management and cost control. Our engineers have gathered hands-on experience in numerous projects.

  • EPCM / EPC

In addition to the typical engineering services IMPaC offers to execute selected projects on an Engineering Procurement Construction Management (EPCM) basis or – in special cases – an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) basis. Thus the projects are delivered turnkey to our Clients.

  • Research & Development

Technically demanding and rapidly growing markets require new solutions to meet constantly changing needs and challenges. To secure and strengthen its position as technology leader, IMPaC applies its experience and know-how in various R&D projects that focus on developing innovative and cost effective solutions for the energy industry – offshore and onshore. Our integrated designs generally follow high quality system view approaches in accordance with internationally recognized HSE standards. The designs are aided by state-of-the-art software systems for 3D computer modeling, 3D analysis, and simulation and visualization to guarantee the design’s reliability, availability, maintainability and operational safety throughout its lifetime. If required, these developments are verified by model and prototype tests.

  • SPECIAL EXPERTISE

In over 30 years and with over 800 projects undertaken, we have gained special expertise in the areas of cryogenic gas transfer systems, ice technology, process safety, automation and control, shallow water technology and subsea technology. This special expertise has been strengthened and successfully utilized in numerous projects and making IMPaC a competent partner for these challenging areas.

  • Cryogenic Gas Transfer Systems

IMPaC provides engineering and consultancy services for gas treatment modules and gas transfer systems, a major technical challenge due to the required cryogenic temperatures (e.g. LNG: -164° C) and the handling of liquefied gases in offshore environments which requires additional system precautions. Based on our knowledge and experience gained in more than 150 gas related projects, IMPaC has developed a comprehensive offshore unloading system for e.g. Liquefied Ethylene Gas (LEG) using shuttle vessels with a total capacity of 200,000 t LEG/year representing almost 1/3 of the world’s total LEG transport capacity. To date, the system has performed more than 3000 successful operations
